For over 25 years, AGE has provided a variety of unique services to support and empower older adults and their family caregivers. This non-profit provides free personal consultation for caregivers, support groups, educational seminars on topics ranging from long-term care to tips for Alzheimer’s, and evidence-based educational classes through CaregiverU. The AGE Adult Day Health Centers are the only two licensed facilities in Austin and Round Rock specializing in memory loss and management of chronic illnesses. Clients who attend the Adult Day Health Centers live at home with their families while AGE provides a full day of engaging activities, nutritious meals, and a community for older adults to engage with their peers—all under the supervision of a full-time nurse and trained staff. Other programs at AGE include early memory loss support, health equipment lending, and peer-based computer classes for seniors.
