Austin Pets Alive

If you want to be hands on with the animals, assisting at adoption sites, working as a dog behaviorist, acting as a big brother/big sister, and dog walking are just some of the opportunities available. Capital Area Food Bank of Texas

Volunteers at Capital Area Food Bank are critical to operation. Volunteers can help through administrative duties to ensure the food bank runs smoothly.  Warehouse volunteers help prepare food donations for distribution by checking to make sure food is safe and healthy for the families it feeds. Mobile food pantry volunteers help out by being friendly and respectful to clients seeking help. Volunteering as a nutrition educator is also critical as classes teach citizens how to cook and maintain a healthy diet through meal planning. Check out for more information.
