As we wave goodbye to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Christmas season is swooping in with full force. With families putting up Christmas lights and decking the halls, Christmas is incomplete without the iconic, decorated tree. Here are a few places around Austin where you and your family can find the perfect tree.

Elgin Christmas Tree Farm
120 Nature’s Way
Be sure to reserve a whole day for the Elgin Tree Farm, because here you can enjoy scenic hayrides, petting zoos, and mazes. You can also cut your own tree! The farm is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from church at 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Hurry to the farm before it closes on December 21st, or until trees are sold out.
Austin Optimist Club
San Gabriel & N. Lamar (2813 San Gabriel)
The Austin Optimist Club’s Christmas Tree Lot is in full swing throughout December! Open Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., this location is selling much more than just trees. Along with its five various types of Christmas Trees, the lot is also selling garland and wreaths; all profits are being donated to youth charities throughout Austin.
McIntire’s Garden Center
303 Leander Rd.
Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, McIntire Garden Center features beautiful poinsettias, wreaths, and trees. You can find flocked Christmas Trees also. The poinsettias are newly bloomed, so go grab some bunches before they sell out!
Six Austin Locations
A true Christmas classic, Papa Noel will be selling its usual fraser and noble fir trees from North Carolina. With six different locations, the Papa Noel lots are a staple in many Texas towns. The trees are guaranteed to remain fresh for the whole season, or you can exchange it for a new tree.
