Blues on the green

Blues on the Green is an annual concert series presented by local radio station, KGSR, in the Summertime. They host tons of local bands, supporting the ATX music scene. Music lovers flock to Zilker Park to throw a blanket down and chill with pups and friends to experience tunes and the Texas sunset.

Unplugged at the grove

Thursday nights are cool under the canopy of a massive oak at Shady Grove. Unplugged at the Grove, also sponsored by KGSR, features bands in a completely free concert series. For those of-age patrons who are so inclined, Shady Grove offer specials on drinks and Ziegenbock.

Shakespeare in the park

Shakespeare in the park presents various interpretations of the Bard’s work at the Zilker Hilltop Theater, across from Barton Springs. These events are family friendly, picnic-style evenings so don’t forget a blanket to sprawl out on.

Fitness in the park

Presented by Austin Parks Foundation, Fitness in the Park is your opportunity to stay in shape and enjoy the outdoors. All classes are free and include yoga, Zumba, and MixxedFit sessions. Don’t forget your yoga mat and plenty of water!

Movies in the park

Austin Park Foundation and Alamo Drafthouse partnered to present Movies in the Park! Throughout the Summer, a movie will be showing in different neighborhood parks in Austin. Bring picnic chairs, blankets, pups, and snacks! These events are family-oriented and fun, so keep an eye out for your nearby park.
